| Description: | Composed of eight separate protected areas, the Discovery Coast Atlantic Forest Reserves (in the states of Bahia and Espírito Santo) contain 112,000 ha of Atlantic forest and associated shrub, restingas. The Brazilian coastal rainforests situated along the Atlantic are the richest in the world in terms of their biodiversity.
