Description: Desembarco del Granma National park, with its precipitous marine terraces and ever evolving karst topography, is a globally significant and unique geomorphological region of continuous geological processes. The area is located in the Cabo Cruz in southeastern Cuba, and, due to spectacular terraces and cliffs, and its pristine and impressive coastal cliffs it is recognized as one of the wildest and most beautiful seaside locations bordering the western Atlantic. --WHMNet paraphrase from the description at WHC Site, where additional information is available.
Desembarco del Granma National Park is a national park in south-eastern Cuba, in what is now Granma Province. The park is named after the yacht in which Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, Raúl Castro, and 79 of their supporters sailed from Mexico to Cuba in 1956 and incited the Cuban Revolution. --Wikipedia.
