Description: Extending across 600,000 ha alongside the Myanmar border, the reasonably intact sanctuaries hold examples of just about all of continental South-East Asia’s forest types. They house an incredibly varied array of animals, among them 77% of this region’s large mammals (in particular: elephants and tigers), 50% of the large birds and 33% of the land vertebrates. --WHMNet paraphrase from the description at WHC Site, where additional information is available.
