| Description: | The ancient theatre of Orange, located in the Rhone valley, is one of the best preserved of all the great Roman theatres. The Roman arch, erected between A.D. 10 and 25, is one of the most striking and interesting examples of a provincial triumphal arch surviving from the reign of Augustus. It is decorated with low reliefs that commemorate the formation of the Pax Romana.
