Description: The Architectural, Residential and Cultural Complex of the Radziwill Family at Nesvizh, located in central Belarus, consists of the residence castle and the mausoleum church of Corpus Christi. The Radziwill dynasty built and maintained the ensemble from the 16th century till 1939. The dynasty was a family of important personalities of European history and culture, whose presence gave the town of Nesvizh a position of great influence within the sciences, arts, crafts and architecture. The castle’s ten interconnected buildings, which stand around a six-sided courtyard, developed into one architectural whole. Becoming important prototypes, the palaces and Corpus Christi Church, marked the development of architecture throughout central Europe and Russia. --WHMNet paraphrase from the description at WHC Site, where additional information is available.
