Description: Prince Constantine Brancovan founded the monastery of Horezu in 1690 in Walachia; it is a 'Brancovan' style masterpiece. The site is renowned for the purity and balance of it architecture, the affluence of its sculptural detail, the treatment of its religious compositions, its votive portraits as well as its painted decorative works.
