Description: A stunning setting was fashioned around Yorkshire’s ruins of the Cistercian Fountains Abbey and Fountains Hall Castle. This is an exceptional site with its 18th-century landscaping, gardens and canal, the 19th-century plantations and vistas, and the neo-Gothic castle of Studley Royal Park. --WHMNet paraphrase from the description at WHC Site, where additional information is available.
